To unplug the power cord also have it own procedure and if you follow this procedure, you can maintain your your printhead.

Step:
1) Press the ON button
2) After confirm that the ON lamp is off, unplugging the power cord.

p/s: Unplugging the power cord while the ON lamp is lit or flashing may cause drying or clogging of the print head and print quality may be reduced.
